Having been out of action for the past 2 weeks I haven’t been able to keep up with events in that joyful merry-go-round of insanity we call The Eglinton. But now that I am once again among the living and have had the chance to take a look at the website my only reaction can be one of SHAME, SHAME, SHAME.
Seriously, what in the name of Budda’s buttcheeks have you people been allowing to happen in our beloved temple of worship, Pat “The smug bastard” O’ Callaghan has won 4 fucking tournaments in the last 10 days, including the Wednesday night deepstack. I thought this, our most hallowed tournament, had reached an all-time low when Ian Hambone and Mike Kelly made it to the last 2 a few weeks ago, only for that to be topped last week when it was won by ex-boy band star Marty Greer. But now this, the shame is simply too much to bear, and it is all our responsibility to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
So, this coming Wednesday there is going to be a €100 Wednesday Deepstack ticket put on POC’s head as a bounty prize for whoever can knock him out of the tournament
