Saturday night saw the running of the Summer Cash League final in Eggy, where we had 7 players take a share of the €14000 prize pool. So a big shout out goes to Kev O’Malley who took the biggest piece home, netting himself €3,155, and to the other 6 players to take a share of the pool, the lowest being a touch over €1000. To be fair, it was really a great night all around for the top cash players in the club, with 6 of the 7 winners coming from the top 11 in the league.
But one of the big stories of the night has to be Corky’s brilliant 3rd place finish. Starting with one of the lowest stack of just 159 chips, Corky managed to parlay this into a whooping €2,090, brilliantly finishing 3rd overall.
For those that did make an early exit there was the Omaha treble chance tourney to jump into, an option taken by 18 of our league finalists. Congrats to FBI, Brian Mc and George, who ended up chopping the €900 prize pool.
